AND
SOLUTION FOCUSED
One of our core missions at the heart of SLEEC is to change the conversations on male violence, misogyny and rape culture.
We speak to the full landscape of male violence from the lens of those with lived experience of this harm. Whilst we have extensive professional expertise, all our work starts from experience centered knowledge as this is critical to tackling the roots of these complex problems.
Our facilitators and speakers all have direct lived-experience of rape, sexual violence, domestic violence and male violence as well as intersecting oppressions, and all our work is directly informed by SLEEC’s large network of survivors from all across the U.K.
We run a dedicated survivor consultation group and hold regular research spaces to amplify voices and insights that are often overlooked or excluded from mainstream conversations.
We speak with honesty, compassion and humour, and address the messy, the difficult and the uncomfortable.
