These workshops are designed for survivors over the age of 18.
While the content in these courses have been designed with everyone in mind, for some of the movements you will be required to:
- Have range of motion in the upper and lower body
- Be able to stand up from the ground
With Black Venus (She/Her)
My name is Black Venus. My work explores themes of power, subversion, deviance and feminism. I am a martial artist, sex worker, writer and performer. I have over twenty years experience in martial arts, with a focus on self-defence. I am founder of Sex and Rage, a sex worker and activist organisation resisting stigma and shame through sex education.
I am inspired to facilitate and curate based on my own experiences, and those of my peers both within and outside of the sex industry. I have worked in many aspects of the industry, from stripping to escorting, but my bread and butter is fetish, specifically fetish wrestling. I founded Sex and Rage in 2019,
I have performed in various venues across London. I recently gave a performance at Les Bains in Paris, highlighting the life of Jeanne Duval, Charles Baudelaire’s muse and mistress. I have delivered workshops and panels for the BFI, and co-created theatre work with Sexquisite at the Bishopsgate Institute (Impurity!)
