Movement and Stretch: to release tension and feel safer in your body

Jay takes students through a restorative process, to help connect you with your body and slow your mind. 

The session starts with joint freeing movements to warm up and relax are joints.

Then we begin a sequence of full body stretches to connect and engage different muscle groups and help us understand where we might find more tension in our body.

Our last section focuses on deep stretches allowing us to release this tension and feel more grounded and relaxed in our surrounding. This section allows us to be more physically vulnerable in our bodies and slow down our rhythm into a more calm state.

All poses and movement are optional and I encourage you to listen and adapt the moves to what feels comfortable and pleasurable in your body.

I’m Jay and I’m a performer, workshop facilitator and lover of life! As a facilitator I create healing workshops in somatics, twerk, movement, pole and breath work. My practice is grounded in embodiment and care and these are the same foundations that inform my community building. Sexual liberation, the release of shame and embodiment is intertwined with all of my work and personal life.
