The Resilient Body

The Resilient Body is a 60-minute full body movement experience designed to bridge the gap between deep internal connection, navigating a chronic condition and sustainable physical strength. Specifically crafted for those navigating PCOS or hormonal imbalances, this session is a deliberate shift away from high-stress, depleting exercise and toward a practice that honours your internal rhythm, restores your energy and builds a foundation of body trust. The session will focus on slow, intentional resistance exercises and gentle body movement. We will alternate between 3 sets of 15 reps of functional strength and 3-minute blocks of rhythmic, low-impact movement. Each set will have adaptations available if needed. After each exercise we will have a soft and necessary 60 second rest time to keep the body in a relaxed and comfortable state. And not forgetting to mention fun and silliness as a core component within this class! Finishing the session with an intuitive, self- led silliness reset- as laughter is a natural nervous system soother. Key words for session: Guided invitations, Self-paced and hormonal health led.

For

Even though this session is intentionally crafted to support the PCOS and hormonal condition community, its benefits can extend to anyone seeking a sustainable, nervous-system-friendly way to move.

It’s for anyone navigating burnout, recovering from chronic stress or simply feeling on edge, this practice’s aim is to offer a sanctuary to build strength without triggering a fight-or-flight response.

Every exercise will include clear adaptations for seated, standing or mat-based options. This is a space for people tired of punishment-style movement (like I was for many years), where diversity is celebrated, boundaries are respected and our unique resilience is the primary focus.

With Jessica Lux  (She/Her)

Hi, I’m Jess. I am a facilitator, coach and hormonal health advocate fascinated with clinical physiology and the intuitive wisdom of the body. My work is grounded in qualifications in Anatomy & Physiology, Yoga and Acupressure pain management, but its heart lies in my own lived-experience navigating the complexities of PCOS and Chronic Health conditions. I understand intimately what it feels like to inhabit a body that feels muted by fatigue and brain fog, and I have spent years refining, making mistakes, learning and trying to cultivate a movement practice that restores that vital connection without triggering stress or burnout.

I speak from a trauma-informed, anti-diet and weight-neutral lens. As a person who has spent most of her life in and out of disordered eating and body dismorphia, I have actively had to (and continue to) unlearn my conditioned body hate and that exercise is solely to ‘look a certain way’ . I believe that movement is a metabolic tool for joy and resilience, not a form of management or punishment.

My mission and hope is to provide a sanctuary where all bodies and identities feel seen, supported and celebrated within strength, play and movement.
